The maximum dynamic range of the CD is 96 dB.
All commercially available CDs have a lower dynamic range than this.
It is wrong to check the ReplayGain or Normalize options when ripping or converting.
Not only does the volume of sound change, but the dynamic range (the ratio of the smallest sound to the loudest sound) changes simultaneously.
Never check the replaygain option when ripping or converting.
If this option is checked, it will be a non-original compilation album.

I thought that enable ReplayGain during ripping is to embed the gain info into the metadata only. The player reads this and automatically adjust the volume accordingly.
If it does change the data, it is a different story. In this case, I agree not to use it.
Anyway, I don't use it when I rip CD by EAC because I don't know how it "normalize" different tracks.
