The Beatles，本世紀最知名的英國搖滾樂團，1956年成立於利物浦。成員包括約翰藍儂(節奏吉他,鍵盤樂,主唱)、保羅麥卡尼(低音吉他,鍵盤樂,及主唱)、喬治哈里遜(主音吉他西達琴,鋼琴,和音)及林哥史達(鼓,和音)，於1970年解散。

雖然他們在60年代，他們是最成功、最獨創(可能也是最具影響力且最具才幹的流行音樂演唱者)，但因經濟、藝術及個人的理由，他們於1970年初解散。每個團員都曾自由地建立自己的樂風，早在1964年，藍儂和麥卡尼就已經發展各自的風格了。從《讓他去》這張唱片我們可以看出他們的風格已無法相容。解散後，他們仍繼續個人的創作和演出。
